Lifetime of Spices

Most ground spices and herbs are best used within 12 months to ensure the freshest taste and aroma and should be stored in a cool, dry and dark place. We grind our whole spices in small batches so they are as fresh as possible. It is best to buy in smaller quantities and restock more frequently as needed. Whole spices, seeds, peppers and salt blends retain their taste longer. You can buy whole and grind them yourself at home for the best freshness. Note that spices, herbs, blends, chiles, peppers, sugars and extracts do not spoil over time but rather simply loose the potency of their taste and aroma.

Storage of Spices

Spices, herbs, blends, chiles, peppers, salts, sugars and extracts should be stored in a cool, dark and dry place in glass containers.
